Eldoria: Rise of Heroes
Privacy Policy
The online world (our game server)
While the online world is on, the game connects (encrypted, TLS) to our own game server and sends what other players need to see you: the nickname and country flag you chose, your hero's class, level and sword, and your hero's position, movement, attacks, emotes and quick-chat phrases inside the game world. There is no free-text chat — quick chat only uses fixed phrases. The server relays this to players near you and does not keep it after you leave; like any internet server it sees your IP address while you are connected, which we do not log or store.
The only thing the server keeps is the weekly arena ranking: the nickname, country flag and arena points/wins of players who fought duels in the arena. It is cleared every week. Nicknames are chosen by you, so please don't use your real name.
Notifications
With your permission (Android 13 and later ask for it) the game shows a few reminders created on your device — for example when your daily gift or new bounties are ready, never more than two a day and never at night — and occasional news about events sent through Firebase Cloud Messaging. For that, Firebase assigns your installation a messaging token and subscribes it to general topics (all players, and your game language). You can switch notifications off in the game's Settings or in Android settings.
Data collected by third-party services
The game also contains the following services from Google, which process data on our behalf:
- Google AdMob (advertising). Shows an occasional full-screen ad when you travel between game modes (not before hero level 3, at most once every few minutes, never if you bought "Remove Ads") and optional video ads you can choose to watch to double a daily reward. AdMob may collect the advertising ID, app instance ID, IP address (used to estimate approximate location), device and OS information and ad interactions to show ads, limit how often they appear, measure them and prevent fraud. Personalised ads are shown only if you allow them.
- Google Analytics for Firebase (analytics). Records gameplay events — for example level-ups, quests completed, bosses defeated, ads shown and purchases — together with the app instance ID, device model, OS version and approximate country. We use it only to improve the game.
- Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports). If the game crashes, a crash report with the stack trace, device model, OS version and app instance ID is sent so we can fix the bug.
- Google Play Billing (purchases). Optional purchases (gold, a starter pack, "Remove Ads") are paid through Google Play; we never see your payment details. The game keeps a short token of each purchase on your device so it is delivered exactly once.
- Google Play Games Services (cloud save, optional). If you are signed in to Google Play Games, your game progress is saved to Saved Games in your Google account so you can continue on another device.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (notifications). Delivers event news to the topics described above, using a messaging token tied to this installation.
- Google User Messaging Platform (consent). Shows the consent form where required and stores your choice on the device.
Data is sent encrypted (HTTPS) and handled under Google's Privacy Policy; see also how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Analytics data is kept by Google for a limited period (up to 14 months) and then deleted.
Consent and your choices
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland the game asks for your consent (Google's consent form, IAB TCF v2) before ads or analytics store or read anything on your device. You can change your choice at any time in the game's Settings ("Privacy options"). Everywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in Android settings.
Data stored on your device
Your hero's level and experience, gold, weapons and armour, potions, quest and story progress, daily gift streak, castle and gathering progress and settings are saved in the app's private storage on your device. They are removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall the game (a copy in your Google Play Saved Games stays until you delete it there).
Deleting your data
Clear the app's data in Android settings or uninstall the game to delete everything stored on the device; delete the game's saved data in Google Play Games settings to remove the cloud copy. To request deletion of analytics or crash data, e-mail [email protected] — details on the data deletion page.
Permissions
The game uses the internet and network-state permissions to join the online world, load ads, send analytics and crash reports, process purchases and sync Saved Games; the notifications permission (Android 13+) for reminders and news; plus the advertising ID permission added by the Google Mobile Ads SDK. It does not access your contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone or location.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date before the new version of the game is released.
